Jeremie Agyekum Frimpong was born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents on 10th December, 2000. The family moved to England when he was just seven and was enrolled into the famous Manchester City’s academy two years later.
There he was playing regularly for the youth team, playing mainly as a right-back. In 2019, he signed for Celtic FC, he excelled there and it earned him a transfer to the German Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen, here’s where the glory days began.
Given his raw pace and attacking prowess, one would wonder why Pep Guardiola let him go without thinking it through over and over, however, as destiny will have it, Leverkusen were a mid-table team that at times outdo their abilities (no offense intended). The young lad was lucky to play under another Spaniard in Xabi Alonso, as he came to Bayer Leverkusen in what can be tagged “a rescue mission” they were in relegation Estéé when he came and his only objective was to help maintain their elite status.
The fairy tales was taking its full course as they ended the 2022-23 season qualifying for UEFA Europa League, that was already too much of the primary assignment
