Chelsea might be having a period of performance-based hardship under new owner Toed Boehly, which was obviously a result of recruiting new young players at the expense of the more experienced ones.
The only player among the squad who is repaying the faith the club had on him is summer signing from Man City, Cole Palmer.
Despite Chelsea creating more chances and scoring less, Palmer has managed to score a whooping 19 goals and 12 assists in just 38 games, mostly from the flank.
He plays as a right winger but drops more often to the role of a number 10 to receive the ball and create chances with his playmaking style and visionary passes.
Unarguably, Chelsea’s best U-21 player in years, he still have more time to grow and become a midfield maestro that he promises to be, lets pray Chelsea does not destabilize Joan growth by changing coaches like clothes.
