Today we’ll discuss singers who were originally producers. This guys tried singing, it worked out we’ll and probably stoped being producers at least full fleshed.

1: Pheelz
Born Philip Kayode, he started music production at an early age of 16 when he met Olamide, they made magic together by making monster hits over the years.
Only few people were aware of Pheelz’s ability to sing, I’m lucky to be among those few, Olamide featured him on Rep Adugbo, in his 2013 album. He never shows husband prowess again until 2017 when he did a backup for Olamide in another track titled, Journey of a thousand miles, then finally coming to sing as he took the hook in a song by two heavyweights Nigerian rappers, Vector and M.I. Abaga,Crown of Clay. He released Finesse featuring Bnxn and never looked backbone from there.
2: Philkeyz
Another Philip on our list, he was among Kizz Daniel’s major producers along side, DJ Coublon. Just like Pheelz, he was first featured by Kizz Daniel on Neccessari, a track off No Bad Songs.
3: Horlagold
Many are not conversant with this name, but take a recap of the tag you hear at he beginning of most Seyi Vibez songs, Modra, he is the man behind them. Horlagold is a mainstream producer for his friend Seyi Vibez before dabbling into music and he is doing it. well.
4: Young Jonn
The wicked producer needs no intro, became popular as one of YBNL’s in-house producers. Young Jonn started his singing career in 2020, he became popular as an artistes in 2022 after the release of Dada off his E.p titled Love is not Enough
